Professional driving is one of the few industries where you have to pass a medical and maintain a certain level of good health to continue to work legally. Most of our courses focus on the roadworthiness of the vehicle and compliance with regulations. In reality, though, we know that drivers themselves cause far more accidents than defective vehicles! This course focuses on the roadworthiness of you as the Driver. Drivers will gain an understanding of; > Driver Medicals (when, where, reasons for failure or delays). > Notifiable medical conditions. > Eyesight requirements > Legislation regarding drink & drugs > Driver fatigue > Contracts of employment and IR35 In the afternoon of the course, we also work hard to raise awareness of the dangers of mobile phone use and other distractions. We hope that this has a real and lasting impact on the attendees and challenges their behaviours behind the wheel in the future.
