The Children's Safeguarding Assurance Partnership is keen to raise awareness among practitioners, families, children, and young people about the issues surrounding neglect. By learning to recognise the signs, we can ensure agencies can take all necessary steps to prevent neglect and provide early support when neglect is identified. Neglect can manifest in various forms, making it challenging to identify. The primary goal of the workshop is to raise awareness about the signs, symptoms, and impact of neglect on children and young people This workshop will cover the four main types of neglect. The workshop will increase awareness and enhance professionals understand of neglect effect on children and young people. It will strengthen services and boost the ability of universal services to effectively and safely support children and young people who are vulnerable to neglect. This training is designed for individuals who may interact with children, young people, and their families briefly during their work, such as School Crossing Patrol workers, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Assistant, Library Assistant, School Catering staff etc. It will outline key principles and responsibilities related to neglect in these interactions
