The Fundamentals of IPC

This session will cover the essentials for the induction of new staff whilst also being a useful refresher for existing staff. It will focus on the standard precautions in relation to infection prevention and build upon knowledge of how infection can spread by understanding the importance of breaking the chain of infection. This session will also cover: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Decontamination of equipment & the environment, Sharp safety, Waste management, Hand Hygiene.
