Educational Psychologist Group Consultation regarding Virtual School Learners - Secondary/KS5

These sessions are solution-focused to help you to support Virtual School Learners who are experiencing barriers to their learning. This Educational Psychology group consultation session is designed for early intervention, supporting young people who have recently developed barriers to learning and where multi-agency involvement is currently limited. Support will come from Education Psychologists and peers. These sessions will: -Provide space for CPD and collaborative case discussion. -Enable schools to present cases for group problem-solving, facilitated by the EP team with support from Virtual School colleagues. All case discussions will be anonymised to maintain confidentiality. -Co-produce next steps with SENDCos and EPs. - Promote inclusivity by valuing all expertise, encouraging peer support and supporting continuous professional development. Participants at these sessions with either be as problem presenter or a group participant. There will be 8 problem presenters and 24 group participants at each session. This is to allow in-depth discussion on each problem. The difficulties to be discussed will resonate across schools and settings so strategies and ideas will be gained from the group participants as well as the presenters. The EP's will contact you once your application has been finalised with more details about your case.
